My opinion on the show this year was this. I had a great time tons of stuff to do. I think attendance was downt his year. there werent' as many cars. I agree with the some of the changes to classes and what not. I also think some other classes should be changed up also. There are some classes that I think can now be combined unlike years inthe past. some of the nissan class can be combined. along with contours could actually complete agaist the cougars, probes, escorts, hell the cougars and the contours are the same just different body. this are jsut somet hing that I noticed about the show. Venders every year seem to get less and less. what is up with that. I think elite parking was a good Idea but a big flop. there was only like 30 cars in that huge section. Get rid of all those golf carts. or at least slow them down. becuse If i get hit again next year. there will be action taken weather it be legal or physical. or I'm jjust goint close line the guy off the cart, that will teach him a lesson. Over all good show. like to tsee attendenc eup next year. |

I had a great time. I placed in my category Nopi Nationals ATL 2007 - 2nd place (T210 Truck/SUV/Xover - Mini-Truck - GMC/Chevy - Custom) Would be cool to see pics of the First place winners (Car and Driver). The Elite section was "ok". I expected much more from this section. Maybe next year we will see more cars and crazy mods. Drift Competiton was awesome, but need a bigger section of seating to be able to record and watch beside hanging on a gate...LOL |

ALSO NOPIMAN My friend won 3rd place in the Eclipse street cag. he went to get his Award and they told him someone else had got it after a few mins they gave him one and it turns out are old car club had stole the award before we got their how is this posible when the people are to be checking IDs you may want to look at this as a problem because someone didnt do their JOB |

I arrived to the show on Saturday around noon and waited less than 5 minutes to drive in. Right then I knew attendance was down. I finally made my way to park with my group that had arrived shortly before. I IMMEDIATELY noticed a lot fewer people and cars this year than any other year I have attended. I've been going since '02. I really enjoyed the drifting and spent a lot of my free time watching it. I kinda thought there was going to be more of the kind where there are 2 cars following each other rather than the cars just taking laps around the course over and over again. That started to get boring after awhile. And I agree with the other poster about not enough seating for that attraction. There were people having to hang on the fence and look over those stupid banners just to get a peak. Not very well planned IMO. I'm not really into hydraulics but I kinda thought you were supposed to have a 'car' or 'truck' to compete. I noticed a few 'vehicles' were nothing more than a roll cage with a fiberglass car body covering batteries, pumps and wiring. No interior, engine, glass or anything. That is getting away for the whole purpose to me. I didn't even bother watching the burnout competition, that is really played out now. The vendors are getting fewer and fewer now. Where was, Ford, Honda(Acura), Dodge, Hyundai, Alpine just to name a few. I think it was 3-4 years ago when Honda was there last. Glad I got a couple of autographs from Adam when I did. Little did I know there were never coming back. I counted 42 open vendor booths not used according to the directory. That is almost half of what was available total. Very sad indeed. Something has to be done about the outrageous and ridiculous cost of the food offerings. $5 for a NOS, $4 for a bottle of water or Coke. $6 for a can of beer(I don't drink so it didn't bother me), $16 for a Dominos pizza, $4 for a corn dog, $6 for a Arby's ham sandwich, shall I go on. I'm glad I ate before I got there because they feel like the gotcha once you are in the show and are at there mercy. Think again !!! What the heck happened to the goodie bag???? There is a sticker, a dash plaque, lanyard and a magazine !!! Talk about a rip off. Remember back in the day when there were about 10-15 things in the bags??? I guess if no vendors are coming there isn't a reason for them to donate anything. Honestly, what is the point in having judges when they are stretched so thin that they only spend 10-15 seconds looking at your car that you have spent so much time and $$ into. Either more judges need to be brought in to help out and give cars more attention or you just need to be honest and upon registering for the show tell everyone that there car isn't getting judged but rather just glanced at so people don't waste time and $$ thinking it will make a difference. Just to show how much I care about winning a trophy anymore, my whole crew leaves the show at 2 pm on Sunday to head home. We only come to meet and hangout with each other. We are seriously debating on whether or not to continue doing the show because of how pathetic it is getting for the price you have to pay to get in. Granted we only brought 15 cars this year, I can assure you that we spend a LOT of money modding our cars. By far, this was the worse NOPI Nats I've been to. That is all I can think of for now but I'll be chiming in again. |

Agree with everything 92NSX just said, let me add that the trophies this year were very cheap and tacky. And it took forever to finally announce the winners. Way to much time spent on bikini girls contest and though I loved the Drift series,that award ceremony should have been saved for last. We had to wait over half an hour just for them to get to the stage. And sound competition awards should be announced and given out at a seperate ceremony by the sound competition area. Would make things go smoother. |

the planned it that way. think about it you ahve 6,000 ther for show the other 1000 ther for the other events and to spectate. well once the show awards are over with you won't have a crowd. you saw how the crowd got smaller and smaller once people classes were over they were gone |

How about using a digital board to display the winners....just like what they use at the airport for flights? I think that way people who have to drive back home can pick up their trophy and leave earlier. You can assign the building you used for 2nd and 3rd place trophies to post and recieve all trophies using the digital board. leave the stage for loudest Clubs, Nopi chicks and Drift |
